Commission Policies
Thank You for your interest in my work!
1. CM Slots will be held only with a deposit* 2. Commissioner is to provide me with a workable body unless other arrangements have been made. Sometimes I will have the body you want in my studio collecting dust. I will let you know if that is the case & offer it at a fair body price. 3. I will give you an estimated turn around time for your commission upon booking. This is an estimate & I will do my very best to honor it. Sometimes a piece takes longer then expected. If this happens please try & be patient. I want you to get the best possible work I can offer and sometimes that does take some time. Commission Slots 1. I accept time payments on all commissioned work. Payments can be set up that will work for any budget. Please contact me for more information. Deposits & Payments 2. Deposits and Payments can be made via Pay Pal, Money Order, or Personal Check. If the final balance on a commission is paid by personal check I will not ship the model until the check has cleared. 4. Deposits and Payments are non-refundable 4. If a body is not received or arrangements made by the time your slot comes up, I reserve the right to use that time to work on other commissions or models. Repairs 1. I will repair models other then my own as long as the original artist does not mind. Please email me for prices. 2. I do not allow other artists to repair or modify my work. I will give any of my models a discounted rate on touch ups or modifications. I reserve the right to deny certain modifications. 1. I prefer to do all prepping myself (I'm very picky on my prepping). Prices vary from $35.00 for SM size to $75.00 for traditional. These are rough estimates and can vary for poorly cast or heavily seamed models. Prepping 2. If a model is sent to me as fully prepped and does not meet my high standards, I reserve the right to finish the prepping and charge the owner for the additional work. 3. I try not to "just" prep models. I will however do this for some of my good clients, for molds I like working on, or when re-sculpting is necessary to fix molding problems. Re-sculpting 1. I do not offer my re-sculpts unpainted unless I know and approve of the painting artist. Please email me for artist approval. 2. Please email me for quotes on Commissions. Since the amount of re-sculpting needed is different for every horse, I will need some information to give you a good estimate. 1. I will take certain paint only jobs but re-sculpting is my passion. Please contact me for info on paint only commissions Painting 2. All of my models are painted using top quality durable Acrylic paints, Artist quality pastels and are finished in many layers of matte finish so they can be handled, tacked up, displayed, shown, and enjoyed for many years to come. 3. I hand paint all of the details on my horses. I don't use masks frisket or any other process. This is sometimes more time consuming but it yields a better finished product. Rush Jobs 1. I can do some rush jobs. There will be an additional $75 charge for jobs that need to be completed in less then 3 months. Shipping 3. Final balances are to be paid upon completion of the commission. If a balance is not paid within 30 days of completing the model I reserve the right to sell the model to recover funds for time & labor. I will email you with an update before painting your model. This usually allows plenty of time to get the final balance together without a strain. If you need more time just ask I do not want to sell your horse. That would be my absolute last resort. Progress Updates 1. Feel free to email me whenever you like to check up on your horse. I answer all emails promptly (usually within a day or so) 2. I will send progress pictures only once the commission is in the first coat of primer. This is because it's very hard to tell what a horse will really look like when it's 5 different colors of layered plastic & clay :) 3. Please keep in mind I work on many horses at the same time. There may be times when a model waits between stages while others are worked on. 1. Shipping for commissions is additional and will be determined upon completion. Commissioner is responsible for all shipping charges. 2. Insurance is required for the amount of the commission. Additional insurance may be purchased to cover body cost etc... 3. International shipping, I understand declaring a value of a model for less then cost to save on tariff. If you ask me to do so I will but, I will not be responsible lost or damaged packages. I only ship via air mail overseas. Donations 1. I do 2-3 donations a year to various live shows. I am pretty much all booked up right now for this year. Please email me for information regarding donations. Other Stuff 1. I'm always open to partial trades for bodies that I want, resins, real horse stuff. If I want it I'll trade for it! 2. I am an artist & I take a lot of pride in my work! If you have suggestions I am open to them. However, I may not always agree. I will fully explain why if that is the case. You are more then welcome to send me reference pictures (these are absolutely necessary for portrait models) links pages etc...
